Project 8: Performance

We had our last project which is the Performance night yesterday and it went totally crazy. We had to do all the preparations the whole days and nights before, tiring really!

The architecture student represented Srivijaya Kingdom in the Lost Kingdom theme. The performance: We have the clapping and thousand hands Glow in the dark performance.
I didn't took part in the performance so I got the chance to watch my friends performed. and It was excellent! It went smoothly and what I like about it was the 1st part, 'tepuk-tepuk'. quite well executed and the sound was great, very very proud of them.

We won the biggest award of the night, The Best Performance and the Best Kingdom. SRIVIJAYA team immediately went hectic..

Picture when we received the award for the Best Kingdom, everybody went in front of the audiences

Taken after the ceremony with the Dean and our studio master

Overall, I think everybody did a great job, all my friends looking gorgeous and handsome.. :) It's our last gathering for design and non-design students and now when I think about it, I will missed all my friends so much. Especially the non-design courses. Most of my friend s undoubtedly are from other courses and they are very dear to me, had so much fun working with them so I don't want it to end here. Hope the ending is not there yet.

Respect to everyone good luck in the exam guys

Project 8, the last project checked...

Project 7: EXHIBITION

We have only 3 days at the drum to finish our booth. so on Saturday, I couldn't attend the DRUM because I was competing in Festival of Light's Tanglong competition. But later, I joined the Archi, did somework and fixing my group L-shape chair just enough to be displayed.

I'm so glad my portrait was been displayed in the Exhibition. Something to be proud of, I guess.
Didn't take much pictures, thanks to the contributor of these pictures and well done everyone!

Project 6b: The Model Making of Amphitheatre Stage

Goodbye Langkawi and we all were back in Studio

The Enfold was our last project making in studio. We needed quite a long time doing the cutting and polishing all the timbers as we used tons of them. Everybody work together as a team but sometimes we did have problems and it's normal.
Being in studio, I can't help but overheard about other groups' stories and issues and I thought 'Thank God our group is not like them". Proud to be in Group 11

Studio session, mostly, my group do the working, chatting, and eating..mostly eating I guess. The flow is rather simple:

Work--> started chatting--> eat-->more chatting--> went back to work--> started chatting--> eat again

the flow went on and on and on until morning. And then we will start it all over again the next night, the same thing..

Sound a bit boring but what I found was I love being with my groupmates because we have a lot to share, we tried to get to know each other and we all can coop well regardless the races and religions. We are very talkative and most of us loves to make jokes so we enjoyed ourselves while working.

The reason why we ate too much; we actually had our own pantry.
Everyday some of us will brought the Gardenia bread (Bonanza pack of course), some planta and margarine, Nutella, Peanut Butter, and once Jam.. If we still felt hungry we got our riders Fajrul and Ammar to help buy extra food.. Team work!
Sometimes other groups will come to our pantry, just looking around (I didn't know their actual intention tho).. sometimes we share our food with them, only sometimes, don't mention it.. (Credit to models: Amira Nabila, Hanis)

In the end, our group effort paid off big time..

Earlier stages, we did the platform, Hanisah and Izzati is varnishing

Here's the product...

Two brothers.. working as a team

Then we did the frame of the Amphitheatre...the girls did

Here's Yangyang and Peixiu working on the stair. They did this for one whole night, well done!

Then we started attaching all the parts..

In the end, this is our amphitheatre stage, The Enfold

Overall, I'm sure we all were satisfied with the result. Gonna miss GALAXY 11. But like the Enfold, GALAXY 11 will hold the past, the present and the future.. may our friendship last forever.

PROJECT 5: Neighbourhood Element (Site Analysis)

So, this project was a bit different. We had to do a site analysis and I chose Sunway Mutiara together with my friends  so that we can work together. This project help me to learn how to analyse existing conditions such as the sun path, wind direction, facilities provided, problems and issues on the neighbourhood. It helped me to have a different point of view in such places and look at it as an architect students.

Other than that, I do feel this project had given me the opportunity to work with my new friends. :)

PROJECT 4(a): L-shaped Modern Chair

The story is...
we're suppose to create an L-shaped chair which is going to be used for the patio at HBP (now under construction)

so it's sort of a competition between every groups.
my group consist of meself, Lee Kang, Amalin and Grady. After all the misunderstanding, arguments, tragedy and whole week of madness, we came out with this model..

The mess at the back is not ours.

The other Anis decides to take part..

plan

As a result, we were selected for presentation for the first time (YEAY! finally). I still could feel the nervousness and I remembered watching Lee Kang's hands shaking the whole time. It was terrifying but a good learning experience too.

Project 4; chec...hold it! still got project 4(b) to do

It was only then we learnt that we need to create Blue-print for our own MODEL. so basically, we need to draw the front, left, right, rear and all the stuff of the model. Now, we didn't expect this AT ALL!! That's why we did all these complex structure. Just to show you how complex it got, my friends from other group did THIS..

Oh boy...

p/s: credit to Jazz, Anis n Kak Putri for this amazing model.Supporting you guys all the way for this project.

PROJECT 3: Free-form Sculpture

This project had given me quite a challenge because I have to get it done before Thursday that week as there's Pimpin Siswa on Friday. It took me sometimes to figure out what I should do, how to make it look harmony, and how to do it in one-shot just because I don't have that much time for another try.
In the end, I did what I always love to do, paper-mache. I learn in since I was a kid, watching ART ATTACK and FINGERTIPS, they are the one who thought me this technic. I used to create my own art with this technic. so for this sculpture...

I do the ROCKY MOUNTAIN, simple and very free-form indeed. I didn't have to do it perfectly smooth and with specific shape, just tried to make it rough, because it's a rock mountain.

I found some of my friends found it interesting as they kept touching it, and some even lifted it,I think they expect it to be heavy but but no, the sculpture was made from tissues and papers.

not real stones..

honestly..no.
