Life in Studio
STUDIO..

I am going to tell the exact thing I thought about my studio life whether it's good or bad. at least I'm being completely honest, I always will..

Being in studio for the first time, my first thought was "Man! This place is such a mess," because there were so many things, projects, and dirt everywhere. And it's an old building, so it didn't look nice at all. In other word, not a very good first impression.

My individual projects (Self-portrait, Sculpture, Man-made and Natural Structure), I did it my room.
The 4th project which is the L-shaped modern chair was the first project I worked on in studio. Having new friends in the project, although we are all from the same architecture group (group 1) I'm not used to talk to them before, as we don't seem to know each other that much. But the studio life help me to be around those from around the country and even international students. Now, I have friends from different races, religions and regions.

During my time in studio, the day when i decided to stay there until the next day, that was the time when I felt the true studio life. Within that night, I surprised myself by being easily open to make new friends, I have my first time talk with them and immediately click with them as if we knew each other for years. We have a blast, making silly jokes, mocking each other, laughing and complaining and also sharing thoughts and ideas. It felt so different from any of my experiences. and... It was brilliant.

Project 6 was the best experience I had in the first semester. The reason is I felt so connected with everybody in my group, gave me the chance in knowing students from other courses, getting to know each other while meeting them days and nights. We all have the sense of humor and having good time with it, we have sense of friendship through sharing things and food. I still remember when one of  our group member who was hungry after doing some works, he went to the pantry and saw there's no food there, we all felt really bad so we immediately called the other group members and tell them to buy some bread, just for him. Even after we finished the project 6, we all still greet one another and have a little chat when we met. I hope our friendship will last forever.

Special thanks to Dr. Mazran and other studio masters for all their hardwork and  tips they gave. We learned a lot, things that we never know, things that we never took any notice of and they all provide us with the knowledge we need to become better student. I hope that we can still learn from them new things in the future.

The journey is still a long way to go, more hardworks and new experiences will came along with them. Life is like roller coaster ride, just enjoy them while having some hard time. Learn to survive and never give up.

ready to fly, and fly high..
